Etegami Call: Words & Letters

If you saw this post, you know I had an Etegami Call for Entries all around the subject of “Words & Letters.” The etegami I received are beautiful and creative and I’m so happy to be able to post them here on Simplicity Embellished. Thanks to everyone for your time.

Here they are!

I love these and I do believe I’m going to frame them all together and display them in my home.

I also just want to make a statement of sorts: The etegami community I am so lucky to be involved with, (founded and led by Debbie) is by far one of the most welcoming, supportive and dynamic groups I’ve ever been a part of. Adults from the world over regularly share their etegami and the stories that go with them. The positivity and friendship fostered in the group is truly special. If you are considering giving etegami a try, I strongly encourage you as do the other members of our ‘Global Etegami Society,’ if you will.

Thanks again to all the participants!

And to those of you who mailed me an entry, I will be sending you one back, but not till I’m settled in NYC!

  1. Cole, thank you so much for exhibiting these here! A better English translation of the first of Fumiko’s works would be “It doesn’t matter what it is, just pick one thing that you really, really like, and pursue it with all your heart.”

  2. Linda Bachrach says:

Cole, this is a pretty show and so interesting. I’ve been thinking about this exhibition recently, and here it is!

If you can correct it, my etegami letters read “mori” meaning forest. If not, that’s just fine too.

    Linda

  3. Fumiko Koga says:

Hello Thank you for up here
