Don't know why I didn't do the research first. Sorry. :) Wiki says this: "Rabbit rabbit" is a common British superstition. The most common modern version states that a person should say "rabbit, rabbit, white rabbit", "rabbit, rabbit, rabbit", "rabbits, rabbits, rabbits",[1] "rabbit, rabbit" or simply "white rabbits" upon waking on the first day of each new month, and on doing so will receive good luck for the duration of that month. In the United States, the tradition is especially common in Nantucket, Cape Cod, other towns within Massachusetts, and throughout Vermont, notably in Middlebury and Chester.

LOL! Now I wonder why the Brits started it?

These are great. I spent yesterday printing out financial stuff. Hoping to get to some etegami, or at least Christmas Cards, today.

Four friends and I always say Rabbit Rabbit. No one really knows the origin, except it does seem to come from Britain. Yes, I remembered just after midnight. We are considering adding a Dragon Dragon for this year, just to be on the safe side.

Wishing you all the best in this new year.

Oh, what I wouldn't trade for a similar walk. Bear Creek Meadows is all concrete and pitiful lawns. To take such a lovely walk, I would have to drive past the suburban jungle, speed west on the farm-to-market road . . . So I sit. Reading and wishing. And being inspired! There's always tomorrow.

You can buy stamps at customer service in food stores, but that's no fun. I hope and pray we never lose our post offices. Today was Black Friday at the USPS. People are already mailing holiday packages. We need a new post office.

Dear Cole,

Hear in Southern Stockholm County it looks almost the same as on your pictures. We are awaiting the first flakes of snow. We've had two tough winters in a row. This year it's delayed a bit but that doesn't automatically mean that it is going to be mild.
In Sweden we no longer have proper post offices. Now we have small desks at the local supermarkets...

Hi Cole,
Thanks so much for replying to my problem. You're absolutely right!!! I have patiently gone the extra mile and the more I use it the smoother it writes. I haven't yet tried it again with the converter, I'm using a cartridge which I refill using a syringe and needle. I think that soon I'll give the converter another chance. I must admit, it looks very chic and elegant, I feel taller when I write with it LOL!!!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful web page with us all. All the best, your fan from Spain!

Hi Nadia-
What a great question. First, the only way you can accurately tell if a seal is 'ancient' (or at least really old) is to have someone (like an appraiser) certify that it is. The first question that comes to my mind is with regard to size. Generally, seals were much, much larger. They would be 3"-11" wide/tall in some cases. Today, most seals are about 1" or so across.
Definitely take it to an appraiser.
And I'd love to see a photo if you care to email me (info@simplicityembellished.com). As I'm Jewish and a lover of seals, I would LOVE to see it.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Conchita!
Love the pink too! I am betting you need to get a few miles on the Cavalier....write with it a bunch and give it some time to 'break in.'
Other possible issues:
1. Your converter isn't in right
2. The paper you are using is causing problems.
I hope this helps! And Thanks for reading Simplicity Embellished!

Hi,
I was wondering if these seals you have are "ancient"? my mother has one that is very ancient we lived in Jordan and she found it in the garden when digging a hole to plant a tree. The land had many jews pass through it back in the old days.
I was wondering if the price for such a seal is different due to the age of it and make of it "historical item".

Hi Cole, thank you very much for your very informative post. I just got mine today in PINK! and it's definitely beautiful, HOWEVER, and although I like the very fine clean writing it produces, the ink doesn't seem to flow fast enough making me write very slowly if I want to see the complete "letters". If I write at a normal pace, it feels scratchy and is very light and faint in areas, as if it has run out of ink. I too am using the CON-20 converter, and as you can only push it the once to fill, I can't really tell if it has filled up quite that much. Can you give me any suggestions? I'm using the J. HERBIN Rouille d'Ancre ink which is just beautiful. I don't think the ink is the problem as I tried it in my Tasche by OHTO, by refilling a catridge and it works superbly and is so yummy I'd like to lick the page BUT I WON'T!!! My Tasche is medium point, the Cavalier is fine, could it be that I'm just not used to it? But even so, it makes me write so SLOWLY... Bought both from Jet Pens also, lovely service. Hope you can help me out, Kind regards

I wrote you back on August 19, 2011 expressing my interest in your custom stationery. However, I was not able to see how to view the options you offer. If you could contact me at my email, or let me know here I would be grateful.

You can write " I love you" with with your computer and printer but some how it doesn't have the same feeling as using a fountain pen. It is somehow related to the flowing of the ink in some emotional way tha I, as man am incapable of expressing! for that I am trully sorry.
